金振奎，男，山東省昌邑縣人，1963年生，漢族，博士（后），教授，博士生導師，中國石油天然氣集團公司油氣儲層重點研究室主任，中國地質學會沉積學專業委員會理事，中國礦物巖石地球化學協會沉積地質專業委員會理事，《古地理學報》編委。
1983年畢業于華東石油學院石油地質專業，獲學士學位；1987年畢業于加拿大CALGARY大學沉積學專業，獲碩士學位；1992年畢業于石油大學（北京）沉積學專業，獲博士學位；1994年畢業于中國地質科學院構造地質專業，博士后。1994年起在石油大學（北京）任教師，從事碳酸鹽巖及碎屑巖沉積學、層序地層學、成巖作用等方面的教學和科研工作，在學校先后教授“沉積巖石學”、“沉積學原理”、“碳酸鹽巖巖石學”、“化石巖石學”、“普通地質學”等課程；承擔了多項973、重大專項等多項科研課題，在國內外已經發表論文120余篇，出版專著11部；獲教育部一等獎1項、二等獎1項、中石化二等獎1項、北京市一等獎1項；已培養博士和碩士研究生90余名。
學術創新成果：
1. 碎屑巖方面
（1）提出了一種新的沉積相---濕地相（金振奎，2009；2011）
（2）關于三角洲模式，提出了新認識：三角洲前緣不發育“水下分流河道”（金振奎等，2011；2013；2014）
（3）三角洲分流河道中發現了兩類新型砂體：汊口灘、并口灘（金振奎等，2013）
（4）提出了深部優質儲層形成機理（金振奎等，2011）
（5）提出了單河道砂體識別方法（金振奎等，2010）
2. 碳酸鹽巖方面
（1）提出了兩種新的白云化機理：玄武巖淋濾淡水白云化（金振奎等，1997）； 深水回流準同生白云化（金振奎等，2012）
（2）提出了優質巖溶儲層發育機理（金振奎等，2001）
（3）提出了新的石灰巖分類方案（金振奎等，2013）
（4）提出了新的碳酸鹽巖沉積相模式（金振奎等，2013）
