International Students from China University of Petroleum (Beijing) and Beijing
On 2018/07/04 and 2018/07/05, 64 International students from China University of Petroleum (Beijing) and Beijing University of Chemical Technology led by representatives from the College of International Education, China University of petroleum (Beijing) participated in the “Experience China” Social Practice and Cultural Activity, which is supported by China Scholarship Council. Vice dean of the College of International Education, China University of petroleum (Beijing) Liu Xiaoqing attended this event.
The event started with a factory tour to Beijing Sanki Oil Technology Company LTD where international students were introduced to the numerous products manufactured by Sanki oil technology company. The General Manager for Human Resources of Beijing Sanki Oil Technology Company LTD Zhu Lipeng gave a welcome speech at the opening ceremony of the “Experience China”, which was held in the Training Hall of Beijing Sanki Oil Technology Company. Video of collective activities, corporate culture introduction video and working video with Isadin, a graduate of the China University of Petroleum (Beijing) were showed then.
The management team from Sanki called upon all international students to echo the good news about the latest Hi-tech fuel dispensing machines from Sanki in their countries. Students took turns to visit the exhibition hall of the company, did practical operation in the manufacturing and modern workshop. After the practice part international students were invited to a Salon symposium, where they had a further communication with the experts of the Sanki company. After the company tour, students learned about the development prospect of modern petrol stations in China at the first multimedia gas station in Chaoyang District.
The event was crowned by a visit to Dongfang Cultural and Creative Industry ollege of Chaoyang Community College where students participated in various activities including Kung Fu, Guqin (Chinese seven-string zither), paper cutting, calligraphy, Chinese Knot, pyrograph, culture of incense and the art of inserting flowers. While at the Dongfang Cultural and Creative Industry College, students got an in-depth knowledge of Chinese traditional culture.
Dressed in white T-shirts and white caps dubbed “Experience China”, Students’ could not afford to miss any moment of taking memorable photos in the due course of the event. Besides, teachers and international students from China University of Petroleum (Beijing) were interviewed by the reporters of Daxing District TV Station and Chaoyang District TV Station.
The “Experience China” Social Practice and Cultural Activity left a good impression to international students from Uganda, Pakistan, Niger, Yemen, Venezuela, Mexico, Ivory Coast, Mozambique, Haiti, Ecuador, Liberia, East Timor, Cameroon, Ghana, Comoros, Nigeria, Ethiopia and other countries. The brand activity of China Scholarship Council which was undertook and organized by College of International Education of China University of Petroleum (Beijing) is of certain significance to promote the display of the achievements of China’s socialist development and international cultural exchange.
