Notice on the Selection of Excellent International Students and Excellent Intern
In order to promote the development of education career of international students in our school, further improve the quality of international education, strengthen the construction of campus culture of international students, and set up outstanding models of them, we have carried out the selection of excellent international students and excellent international student leaders among international students with academic degrees in our school.
I. Quota
Excellent International Students: no more than 10% of the total number of students.
Excellent International Student Leaders: for no more than 6% of the total number of students.
II. Selection conditions
1. Good moral character, abide by discipline and law, and have no record of violating laws of the People's Republic of China, rules and regulations of China university of petroleum (Beijing) and relevant regulations on the management of overseas students.
2. Excellent academic performance: the average score of this year is more than 80; No subjects failed in the examination this year.
3. Take an active part in social practice; take an active part in physical exercise; actively participate in various public welfare activities, recreational and sports activities, and cooperate with universtity and departments to carry out work.
4. Have studied in China University of Petroleum (Beijing) for more than one year.
5. Students who apply for the Excellent International Student Leaders need to hold the position of minister or above in student organizations and societies such as CUPB ISA, ISAIP, etc., or have held the position of monitor or country representative.
6. Students who have been disciplined in university will not participate in the evaluation.
III. Selection Method
1. Please download the “Application Form for CUPB Excellent International Student (Leader) in 2017-2018 Academic Year” in the attachment for international students who meet the requirements (print the application form on both sides.), select one or two application items, and fill in the form truthfully; then submit relevant materials.

2. College of International Education will review the materials and organize unified defense display for applicants according to the application situation (the specific time and place will be notified separately).
3. College of International Education will publish the candidate list for 3 working days.
4. College of International Education will report the reslut to the Student affairs office for approval.
IV. Materials for Application
1. Application Form for CUPB Excellent International Student (Leader) in 2017-2018 Academic Year
2. Copies of tran with the seal of College of International Education and certificates of awards (valid from September 2017 to August 2018).
3. Other materials (papers and patents should have been published from September 2017 to August 2018)
1) Paper:
a. Photocopies of published academic papers, including covers, catalogues and front pages;
b. the acceptance notice or acceptance letter of the thesis shall be signed by the supervisor.
2) patent: provide a copy of the patent.
Among them, 1 and 2 are necessary materials.
4. Relevant materials should be collected and submitted to office 207A of the international exchange center before 17:30 on December 20th (Thursday).
Only paper materials will be accepted, and electronic materials submitted will be invalid.
V. Incentive Measure
College of International Education joint Student affairs office will issue certificates to the CUPB Excellent International Students (Leaders) in 2017-2018 Academic Year who have been awarded, publicize and commend them throughout the university, give certain material rewards as appropriate, and inform the embassy (consulate) in China of the winners list as the case may be.
VI. Others
1. The CUPB Excellent International Students (Leaders) in 2017-2018 Academic Year selected in each academic year will be given priority in evaluating all kinds of scholarships.
